This southern girl has been craving pimento cheese lately. There is nothing similar over here in Germany. So, I’m turning to an old *tried and true* pimento cheese recipe. I’ve made this a few times before, but it’s my first time making it over here. It is still perfect! Serve this with crackers, in a grilled cheese, in an omelet… Truthfully any way you eat it will be heaven in your mouth!
The best part is that it’s so quick and easy to make. Mix the ingredients together and let it chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes and you are good to go. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
12 oz sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
8 oz jalapeño cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup mayo
1/2 tsp spicy paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp mustard powder
4 oz diced pimentos, drained
Instructions:
1. Mix the cheddar cheese and cream cheese with a kitchen aid mixer, hand mixer, or manually by hand with a spatula and/or a fork
2. Add in the mayo and stir
3. Add in the spices and the pimentos and mix together until well blended
4. Refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving
